JOBS FOR PEOPLE WITH HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMAS
PHARMACY TECHNICIAN: You must be 18+ but pharmacy technicians work in pharmacies to dispense medications and help aid customers/patients. The most common places of work are hospitals and retail pharmacies such as Walgreens and Kinney Drugs. You will need a state license. Average Salary: $15.00/hr
MAIL CARRIER: You must be 18+ to be a mail carrier. They work for the government (so yes, you have to pass a drug test & be a U.S. citizen) and deliver mail to and from businesses and residences. You must pass the Written Postal Exam as well. Average Salary: $17.26/hr
FIREFIGHTER: You must be 18+ but firefighters respond to emergency calls related to fire. these may be structure fires such as buildings or potential fires from automotive accidents. You must attend a firefighting academy, be trained in first aid, and pass a physical exam. Average Salary: volunteer to $22/hr
INDUSTRIAL MECHANIC: You must be 18+. They repair, man, and maintain heavy machinery and equipment in large factories. They are trained by a supervisor on the job and must pass a list of competencies before being allowed to work alone. Average Salary: $23.12/hr
HOTEL MANAGER: You must be 18+ but they supervise all activities in a hotel or resort. They communicate with customers and deal with any issues that may arise. Hotel managers typically work their way up from an entry-level position. Average Salary: volunteer to $22.50/hr
REAL ESTATE AGENT: You must be 18+. They help clients buy, sell, and rent properties. In addition, they advise their clients on the housing market conditions and appropriate asking/selling prices. You must become licensed. Average Salary: $21/hr
GROCERY STORE DEPARTMENT MANAGER: You must be 18+ but they supervise all activities in a grocery store. They communicate with customers and deal with any issues that may arise. In addition, they are in charge of overseeing the store's spending and inventory. People typically work their way up from an entry-level position. Average Salary: volunteer to $25/hr
JOBS FOR PEOPLE WITH ASSOCIATE'S DEGREES
DENTAL HYGIENIST: You mustt be 18+. They help screen patients, clean patient's teeth, and completing basic tasks such as taking x-rays and impressions of teeth. Some people may call this a "trade job" but it is a two year degree program. Average Salary: $34/hr
WEBSITE DEVELOPER: They are responsible for designing, coding, and modifying websites. Their main job is to create a function, accessible, and visually appealing product. Associate Degree in Computer Science or Information Science. Average Salary: $24/hr
LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE/ASSOCIATES' DEGREE OF NURSING: They are in charge of taking care of patients, assisting with daily activities, passing out medications, responding to emergencies. Many hospitals require a 4-year BSN degree, but if you start with your ADN they will pay for your schooling! Average Salary: $28/hr
RESPIRATORY THERAPIST: They are responsible for ensuring a patient's ability to breathe properly. They specialize in airway maintenance and protection. They pass out breathing treatments, respond to complex codes, and assist in recovery after intense surgeries. Average Salary: $27.88/hr
AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER: They are responsible for directing the flow of traffic through our nation's airports. They issue landing and take-off instructions and monitor the radars to help prevent any accidents. Average Salary: $55/hr
JOBS FOR PEOPLE WITH BACHELOR'S DEGREES
REGISTERED NURSE (RN, BSN): They are responsible for patient's health and safety. They assist in procedures, pass out medications, perform daily assessments, give immunizations, and much much more. Average Salary: $37.50/hr
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING: They apply the principles of electricity to develop, maintain, and repair electronic products and systems. They also perform risk assessments and enforce safety standards. Average Salary: $45/hr
ACCOUNTANT: They can work in. many settings: the public, non-profits, and or large organizations. They are required to know a lot about finance and tax law. Average Salary: $31.25
